I had planned a solo trip to Europe in Winter 2014, and I really wanted to stay with the locals instead of at the hotels. So I thought that I’d host guests at my apartment first before sending out requests to be hosted in Paris. I got a few legitimate requests and I remember being so nervous that I declined them. Then I received a German guy’s request. “Germans are decent and are big on traveling”, I thought. And this guy had over 70 testimonials from around the world. I accepted his request to stay at my apartment despite being frightened that it might not match his standards and that he might give me a bad rating. A few days later, Ben, my first guest, knocked on my apartment’s front door. I hosted him for two days, watched Interstellar with him, and learned about Frankfurt and his parents’ village in Germany. When he left, he gave me a nice testimonial. Then we were out of touch for a couple of months. But when I arrived in Zurich during my solo trip, he drove all the way from Frankfurt to Switzerland under the pretext of some work. He asked me to ditch the train and drive with him to Paris. That’s where we began our relationship and the trip was no longer a solo one.

She stayed there for probably 20 seconds woth me staring at her and her looking at me. She pulled her panties back, fixed her jeans and not two minutes later my wife walked in the door. Biggest trap I ever avoided.
